I am not much active on blog these days in fact I should say that I am not at all active :D. The reason is my really tough routine and whenever I get free time I prefer to spend it in kitchen. I always and always focus on quality when it comes to skincare products.
In my opinion one should not compromise on skincare products. Always and always check reviews before putting your hands on any product. I have extra sensitive and acne prone skin so I am more careful. I have changed my diet and if you have joined me on instagram then you must know that I hardly eat from outside now. I prefer to cook everything myself. Although it takes time but I am satisfied. My skin has improved a lot. I hardly get pimples now but still I have dark spots on my face.  Well I was googling stuff and I came across capricious skincare range. Today I am going to review capricious skincare radiance serum . By the way I have it's vitamin C serum and Retinol serum too. But I will definitely take my time to provide  honest reviews.

Main Ingredients 

20% Vitamin C

Application

First wash your face with a cleanser and be sure that your facial cleanser does not leave any oily residue. This residue will make it difficult for the serum to work efficiently. Then apply serum and gently massage into skin and do not wash off.

 Precautions
Mild irritation may occur but you will get used to it soon. Moreover you will feel skin tightness too which is normal. Avoid contact with eyes and if you can't bear strong smell then don't apply it on your nose.

 How to use it
 To be very honest I dont apply anything on my face which has peeling ingredients at night. It is better to avoid such creams and serums at night and let the skin to breathe. My sincere suggestion is not to sleep after applying such products because some people unconsciously  can rub their eyes after touching their face and I am one of them so I always set time according to my sleeping routine. I always say that 5 hours are enough for any cream or serum to work. Same is the case with this serum. I always apply it at 7pm and wash my face at 12am. Moreover whenever you use creams or serums with peeling ingredients then always and always use sunblock before going out and even while cooking. In other words you have to protect your skin from heat because these ingredients make skin sensitive.By the way I use Nurnmir sunblock. I haven't reviewed it yet but it is pretty good for winters. For summers it is a Big NO. By the way I have used this serum for 15 days and then didn't apply it for 5 days to check how my skin feels without it.

My thoughts and experience

When I applied this serum for the first time I felt lil irritation but it was bearable. By the way the serum is orange is color and even after applying your face will turn light orange. It is not something which you can apply during the day time and go outside. Moreover it has soft orange particles in it too. The positive point in my opinion is it's packaging. It comes with a pump so it is really hygienic. Two pumps are more than enough for your whole face. To be very honest I didn't feel a sudden change on my face after first usage in fact I started to notice lil changes after 5-6 days. My dark spots reduced and I noticed that this serum is really good for getting rid of tan. My chin is lil dark as compared to cheeks and forehead and I noticed that my chin area is becoming lighter day by day. By the way I am sensitive to strong smells so I always avoid applying it on my nose. After 5 hours of applying I always take this serum off my face with a wet cotton ball. I don't wash my face directly in fact I clean my face with a wet cotton ball and after that I wash my face with a gentle face-wash. I prefer to use Pond's face-washes  as they lather really well and they are pocket friendly too. In my opinion this is an amazing serum. Those who want to get rid of acne scars should really consider it and give it a try. Don't expect overnight results. It slowly does it's job but the results are long lasting. My skin has started to peel off and I am expecting that pores will minimize to some extent too. As it is a radiance serum so it has really brighten up my face. Those who feel that their skin has become dead and pale then this serum is for them. The size of the bottle is small but it can easily last 2 months. Peeling products always make your skin dry so it is really important to use a good moisturizer with them. Whenever I feel that my skin is becoming extra dry then I apply Loreal cream. My family has even noticed that my skin has started to glow. Once in a moon products impress me and believe me it is one of them.

By the way Capricious skincare products are not available in Pakistan and they are not even available in stores if we talk about abroad but you can easily buy anything from their website and amazon. You can see that the products are on the expensive side as this radiance serum costs 79$ but off and on they have sales too. Keep an eye on the sales and you can get this serum in half price or even less than it. By the way I didn't pay even a single penny to custom and I received this serum and 2 other serums at my doorstep. If we talk about Pakistan then many facebook pages take orders of amazon. Just send the link of the product and they will quote the price. I will finish this serum and after that I will try vitamin C serum. Fingers crossed.

Olay Professional Pro-X Advanced Cleansing System

Today I will be reviewing Olay Pro X Advanced System. I received it in July, 2014 from Facebook store Amor but, because of my health issue I was away from blogging therefore, I am very late in reviewing it. But it is said ' better late than never'.

To be very honest I have been longing for a Clarisonic from the time I started blogging but the only factor which prohibited me from owning it was the price tag.When I read about Olay Pro X advanced cleansing system I purchased it right away. I did not even hesitate and believe me it was the best decision to own this baby. Lets move to a detailed review.

Product Description

The 2-speed rotating facial cleansing brush massages the ProX by Olay Exfoliating Renewal Cleanser on your skin, a lathering micro-bead formula that thoroughly cleans as it gently exfoliates. Just rub it onto your skin and let the power of the Facial Cleansing Brush go to work. Each rotation gently clears away makeup, oil and dirt, leaving your face clean, exfoliated and primed for hydration. In fact, the ProX by Olay Advanced Cleansing System is designed to maximize the immediate hydrating effectiveness of your anti-aging moisturizer. With 2 speeds, you control how it treats your skin. Plus, it's water resistant, making it perfect for use in the shower. Your skin will feel smooth, refreshed, and refined.

How to use

Dampen facial skin and brush-head lightly with water. Dispense Pro-X Exfoliating Renewal Cleanser in your hand and massage over face. Turn on cleansing brush and gently move around the face for approximately 60 seconds. Avoid the eye area. Rinse face and brush head with water.

 My thoughts and experience

The package comes with the cleansing system, a brush head, 2 AA batteries and an exfoliating cleanser. The cleansing system runs on two AA batteries which are included in the box and when you attach the brush-head to the system, the brush rotates in circular motion to remove oil and dirt. On the cleansing system, there are two buttons, the larger on top toggles to power the unit on and off and the smaller bottom one controls its speed - low or high. I use it on high speed as slow one is too slow for me. You can set the speed according to your choice. I have never used it with the exfoliating cleanser which comes with it. I have not read good reviews about it. I checked it with different face-washes but at the end I settled on Pond's face wash as it lathers well. During summers you can  even use it daily but for winters twice a week is enough. To be very honest it makes the face clean but it is not an extra miracle product if you have stubborn white and blackheads. For that purpose it is very important to do deep cleansing once or twice a week or you can call it a mini facial too. You can easily do it at home. For that you need a good cleansing milk, massage it gently all over face for about ten to fifteen minutes. After that, it is much much better to use freeman charcoal mask which works both as a scrub and a mask. I have reviewed in it detail here. At the end you can wash your face with pond's face-wash or any-other of your choice with the help of Olay  Pro X.

My skin always glows after every use and  feels so clean without making my face red or dry. I have extra sensitive skin but the bristles are really soft which never ever caused any problem for my skin. If you have dry skin then I don't think so you will like the bristles much. The condition of my face has improved drastically and I love, love and love it. Bristles are really soft so the brush-head needs special care otherwise bristles will start to fan out around the edges. One more thing please never ever share your brush-head with anyone, not even with your sister.

How to clean Olay Pro X brush-head

It is very important to rinse your brush-head thoroughly after every use. It is advisable to change brush-head after every three months but in my opinion it depends on the usage too. If you clean your brush-head properly then it can survive a bit longer. Well, in my case after rinsing it thoroughly I let the brush-head air-dry on a tissue paper. You can even use towel.

A biggggg YES. By the way I haven't tried clarisonic so , I can't do the comparison. It is a much cheaper option so give it a try before purchasing clarisonic.

Freeman Charcoal & Black Sugar Facial Polishing Mask

Today I will be reviewing Freeman Feeling Beautiful Charcoal & Black Sugar Facial Polishing Mask. To be very honest I am not into masks but after reading awesome reviews and finding a facebook page which was selling it at an amazing price I couldn't stop myself from purchasing this baby. It is also an Allure Best of Beauty 2013 Winner. My skin has improved a lot as I am trying my best to avoid stuff which my skin can't handle but still I have good and bad days. let's see if it lived up to the hype.

Product Description

Pollution…debris…it's a wonder skin can breathe! This unique mask and scrub works double time to detox skin. First, naturally purifying Activated Charcoal helps absorb oil and impurities without over-drying. Then, Black Sugar helps exfoliate away dulling skin cells for softness and clarity. Directions

Apply mask to face and neck, avoiding contact with eyes. Leave on for 5 to 7 minutes. Rinse with warm water. Use 2 times a week or as often as needed.

My thoughts and experience

It is mentioned on the tube that it is a mask but it is a  sugar scrub with charcoal in it. It has a very sweet and pleasant fragrance. Simply wet your face and with a gentle hand apply this mask on your face. The sugar granules are a lil bit harsh so if you have acne prone skin apply it and massage for 2-3 minutes very gently and then leave it for 7-10 minutes. By the way it doesn't dry out so after 7-10 minutes take a wet cotton ball and clean your face. If you find it way too harsh to massage then simply apply it and let it sit on your face for 10-12 minutes. When I cleaned this mask believe me my face was very clean and soft. It was glowing too..I have not experienced any breakouts while using this product. This mask really helps to absorb excess oil while exfoliating skin. The negative side of this mask is that the glow remains on your face for a day or two only. If you have oily and acne prone skin then you can use it thrice a week but if you have dry skin then twice a week is enough. Overall, I think it's a pretty good product for the price. It doesn't dry out skin which most of the masks do. Moreover it minimizes size of pores. I think everyone should give it a try.

A BIG YESSSSSS because I love, love and love it. I will definitely repurchase it after finishing this tube. By the way it expires after 36 months so in my opinion 3 years are enough to finish this tube.

Color Studio Professional Knock Out Eye Marker-Review

Eyeliner comes in different forms like pencil, gel, or liquid. I am not expert in eye-makeup so my eyes are always on eyeliner markers as I feel that they are easy to apply. As far as the colors are concerned , there are unlimited colors but for daily use black eyeliners are the best.

My thoughts and experience

When I received this eye marker, I sat down for about ten or fifteen minutes and seriously I regretted my decision to go for it. It has a thin tip and I thought I won't be able to use it. I am very bad in applying eyeliners. Once I tried to apply liquid eyeliner and after two minutes my eyes were like someone has punched me. I always call my best friend who is my neighbor too to do this job. Well, when I applied it for the first time believe me I was really pleased with the results. I am a beginner but still it was not much difficult to control this eye marker. It's not intense or pure black so it's better not to expect good  results in a single stroke. I get better results after three or four strokes.

It's not much difficult to line eyes with it but you need to be careful if you have super oily lids. Sometimes it even bleeds in to lines of lids. In my opinion it's perfect for dry skinned beauties because I super oily skin and I have like 50 50 opinion about this eye marker. I even wore it to a party without a primer and after 5 hours when I checked, there was a light black mark on my eye cover fold. It is easy to remove too as it's not waterproof so I will suggest oily beauties not to go for it especially during summers. Yes, dry skinned beauties can give it a try. Moreover, it's much better to use primer with it. It takes about 1 or 2 minutes to dry so, you need to wait other wise it will end in a mess.

VLCC Watermelon & Bergamot Gentle Exfoliating Face Wash

It's not easy for my sensitive and acne prone skin to accept new face washes easily. I am still surprised that how it accepted this one as in the start it broke me out too, not very badly. After that it's working like a magic.

Claims

Formulated for daily use, this soap free gentle exfoliating face wash cleanses and purifies skin to leave it soft and refreshed. Finely crushed watermelon seed granules remove dead skin cells, deep clean pores and prevent formation of black/white heads while stimulating fresh cell growth. Bergamot extract keeps skin free of germs and problem causing bacteria to give a perfectly cleansed, smooth and problem-free skin.

My thoughts and experience

It comes in a white tube which is transparent  from the sides so, you can easily check how much is left. I always use it whenever I do cleansing. As my loyal readers know that I don't do makeup on daily basis so I don't go for proper cleansing daily. I started to do so two weeks ago but it over dried my face so, I left it. Therefore, I use this face wash thrice a week. I only use a tea spoon sized quantity and it leaves my skin super clean. Sometimes, it dries my skin too but I don't face this issue during summers. The best thing is that the expiry date is also mentioned on the crimp. I know ladies who keep on hoarding makeup stuff and even don't bother to check the expiry dates. I am not that kind of person. I always keep my eyes on the expiry dates of my stuff and I throw them into the dustbin , once they are expired. So, this is a plus point that you can easily check the expiry date of this face wash.

 

The face wash is white in color and so are the granules. I have very sensitive skin and I never felt these granules harsh. It has a fragrance too which is so yummy and fresh. It's not very much on the stronger side. In the start I used this face wash on daily basis but soon after it broke me out, I started using it thrice a week and believe me I never got disappointed. From the pix you can easily check that only some of the quantity is left. It shows my love for this face wash. It cleans the pores very gently but, it's not perfect for old and stubborn black heads. It lathers very nicely and brightens up the skin. I love using this face wash and I am going to get a new one after finishing this. It's a 150ml sized tube and it's not a wise decision to take it to college, university or even office as it's cap is not sturdy. It can easily open with a little pressure on the tube so don't do this.

Clinique Rinse-Off Foaming Cleanser Mousse Hydro-Demaquillante

Hi ladies!

I'm back with my review about my current favorite clinique facial wash. Last month I purchased it so, after using it for about 28 or 29 days, twice a day, I think I am in a position to review it honestly. If you want to know why I love it then read this post properly.

Claims

Clinique Rinse-off Foaming Cleanser is a cream-mousse cleanser that gently and effectively rinses away makeup and sunscreens. It gently delivers comfort to skin with soothing botanicals, leaving skin feeling moist, clean, and fresh. Concentrated into a long-lasting formula, it's a great value, too. This ophthalmologist-tested formula is ideal for dry-combination to oily skin types.

My thoughts and experience
This is actually a makeup remover but I am using it as a face-wash. It comes in a transparent tube with a screw cap. On the back of the tube it is mentioned that it's for normal skin, instructions are given but ingredient list is  missing. It's thick and creamy and I only use a pea sized amount but after mixing it with water it foams up and cleans the face without being harsh. After using it for a month, even my family and friends have noticed a huge difference. It has made my skin a lot clearer, smoother and brighter.

 I use this every day, twice a day and it's great. Believe me, when I received this cleanser I thought it will last only for 15 days but I was so wrong. It can easily last for 2 months or even 3. You can check the pix. These are the latest pix of the tube, after using it for a month. So, the tube lasts a long time which makes it great value for money. I have even noticed a difference in the size of pores but yes, it's not a big difference ( still for me it counts). Dark spots are slowly disappearing. It doesn't over dry the skin and  it removes oil from face perfectly. Even after 5 hours, I don't see oil on my face. Yes, during winters it can be drying for dry skinned beauties.

For my readers I also gave it a try to remove makeup and believe me it removed all traces of makeup. I haven't tried it to remove mascara or eyeliner and I recommend the same to my readers. Don't take it near to your eyes. Other than that, It can easily remove foundation, blush and power.

Lancome Color Design Lipstick - Groupie Shimmer

I love lipsticks. I am not a lover of lip glosses so my focus is always on lipsticks and I keep on adding them to my collection.
When I got this lipstick in my hands, I don't know why I didn't like this shade. I am more into pinks and this could be one of the reasons. I am always afraid to try new lip colors so for 3 months I didn't bother to use it even. I used it for the first time on my friend's wedding and at that time I came to know that its a beautiful shade. Its a deep copper-bronze shade with a lot of shimmer in it. This is my first lipstick with shimmer in it and its not as smooth as other lipsticks. You can feel the shimmer while applying it on your lips. It gives very bright look to your lips and you can wear this shade on daily basis. I don't need to tell you this that its perfect for functions too.

The lasting power of this lipstick is good and it can easily stay on your lips for 4-5 hours even after taking meals. It is very easy to remove and doesn't leave behind any stain. Moreover It is very pigmented and you can apply it in one quick swipe.

Dermacos Clarifying Facial Wash

I keep on trying different face washes. I don't know how girls stick to a single face wash for years because even dermatologists recommend not to use a particular product continuously.
I came to know about  Dermacos products from my cousin and to be very honest its not a popular company so you will not find much reviews on internet. I firstly used its products for facial. I will share those products soon and after realizing its good results I decided to give a try to face wash too.

Claims

• Thorough deep down pore cleansing
• Doesn't over dry the skin
• Restores natural pH balance and firmness
• Helps in reducing dark spots and discoloration
• prevents spreading of acne growth

My thoughts and experience

Facial wash comes in a plastic bottle which you can see in the pictures too. Its has a unique packaging and I haven't used any face wash with this kind of packaging. You have to squeeze the bottle to get it out of it.I must say that the packaging is very hygienic. I really liked it as it has a protection lid on the top too. You only need a coin sized quantity to wash your face. When I used it for the first time I noticed that my skin has dried out. Although its mentioned on the bottle that it doesn't over dry the skin but after 2 days I noticed that it over dries the skin and its very important to use a good moisturizer at night. One more thing which I don't like about this is that it has a strong fragrance. There is a long list of ingredients mentioned on the bottle but I feel like it smells like medicines. Well its my opinion others can feel that it smells differently. 

Lets get to the good points. I really cleans the face perfectly. Till today I have not noticed new pimples on my face. I am a huge fan of Ponds face washes and I always get back to Ponds even after trying hundreds of face washes but I must say I have not even touched my ponds face washes after I started using this one.After a week I noticed that the dark spots are getting lighter too. It really prevents spreading of acne growth. I use it twice in a day and I am expecting that it wont dry out skin during summers.

L'Oreal White Perfect Transparent Rosy Whitening SPF 17 Day Cream

I am always confused to try any moisturizer as my skin is sensitive and acne prone too. It takes me not only days but weeks to decide an appropriate moisturizer but even after reading many reviews most of the moisturizers turn out to be a failure. Pimples always leave dark spots on face and its hard to lighten them.
After thinking for more than a week I decided to try L'Oreal cream. Actually I went to buy night cream but it was out of stock and I had read good reviews about day cream too so I decided to give it a try.

Claims

• Helps to reduce spots and visibly brightens skin tone for a more transparent skin.
• Helps to stimulate skin micro-circulation and brings more glow to skin.
• Protects against UV and skin darkening (SPF 17).

My thoughts and experience

The cream comes in a transparent glass jar which is a bit heavy. It has an additional lid too which is a plus point.It is a white cream with milky texture, a bit thick as compared to other creams but when applied it blends very smoothly. It has a very pleasant fragrance too which is not strong. The only problem which I faced is that it doesn't absorb easily and leave behind a white film on face. Even when I applied a pea sized amount I noticed the same.You can see this in the pic too.I noticed that the size of pores has minimized and dark spots have reduced. But still I am unable to use it on daily basis as it causes breakouts. I use it thrice in a week.

Its much better to use it as a night cream as it leaves behind white film but if you want to use it under makeup during day time then you can go for it as it works as a sunblock too (SPF 17). I only use it during winters as during summers it fails to control oil. If dry skinned beauties want to use it then I will recommend to use any other moisturizer too as it dries out skin during winters. It does even out the skin tone but dont expect fairness.

Pros
Works both as a moisturizer and sunblock (SPF 17).
Evens out skin tone.
Minimizes size of pores.
Reduces dark spots.
Contains extra lid for protection.
Only pea sized amount is enough.

 

Cons

Expensive.
Doesn't bring fairness.
Doesn't absorb easily.
Cannot be used as a day cream.

White Film ( One can easily notice that I have not applied cream on fingers)

Availability
It is easily available all across Pakistan but if you want to buy it online then you can easily get it from just4girls in Rs 850.

Recommendation
Oily skinned beauties can only use it during winters. Yes dry skinned beauties can use it during every season but its much better to use it as a night cream as it leaves behind white film on face.
